Metascience Hub is a platform of advice, information, and resources for researchers and research managers. Metascience, the scientific study of science itself, is a broad field that applies the scientific method to assessing everything from hypothesizing to reporting: including experimental design; approaches to publishing and peer review; and even institutional administration and management.
Metascience Hub's role is to transform metascientific themes and studies into actionable steps and intuitive concepts for application in research settings.
Why Metascience Hub Now?
Public trust in science is waning, AI is exercising influence on research, demands on academics are only growing, and our institutions are slow in adapting to the new wave of challenges facing researchers. The goal of Metascience Hub is to provide researchers with a host of tools and resources to cope with these challenges through the dedicated work of metascience researchers, activists, and policy makers.
It seems that science is at a tipping point, trying to balance the demands of external pressures and ideologies with the quest for truth in its push for progress. This may seem daunting, but it is actually an opportunity for researchers to refine science and generate reliable results efficiently.
The Vision

Metascience Hub envisions a sort of "Ideal Science" where efficient research is driven by ethical, technical, and managerial competence. Poor scientific integrity opens the door to many possibilities for time, energy, and resource losses. These resource drains can be avoided by adhering to scientific codes of conduct which provide a work flow that is clear-cut and direct.
Researchers can side-step productivity traps by optimizing their leadership and management styles and familiarizing themselves with the tools developed by metascientists. The accessible, 3-10 minute blog posts and guidance sessions from Metascience Hub will empower researchers to manage their projects in line with the tenants of "Ideal Science" and their professional goals.
